Join us for a residency internship at our magical Healing Garden. You’ll study with Master Gardener and Herbalist Barbara Fahs for one week and learn natural healing hands on. You’ll also have the opportunity to spend time in the Garden, make herbal products, and learn about growing herbs in Paradise. Relax and enjoy all of our amenities, including our swimming pool. It’s a journey of discovery and healing for body, mind and spirit.

You Will Learn How To:

✓ Grow and identify dozens of native Hawaiian medicinal plants, including endangered species.
✓ Build an abundant herb garden bed.
✓ Make a healing tincture with Kava kava for promoting relaxation.
✓ Make a skin healing salve with Noni fruit.
✓ Make an herbal oil with Hawaiian plants from the garden.
✓ Make an elixir with Kava and Noni for promoting health.
✓ Attain attunement of body, mind and spirit through herbal baths and plant spirits.

What’s Included: You will stay in a vacation rental home near the Garden. Included are use of our swimming pool and wireless Internet access with your own computer or other device. We include a welcome dinner and a farewell dinner, which may contain chicken or fish. Sorry, we cannot accommodate special food needs.

Rates for Hi‘iaka’s Live and Learn Internship Program:
One week Program:
Oceanfront home: $2500.00 inclusive (plus tax)
Forest home: $1850.00
Studio: $1500.00
Additional person: Add $300.00

Hawaii general excise tax of 4.17% will be added when you arrive.

Payments accepted through PayPal, traveler's check or personal check.

If you would like to arrange your own lodging offsite, we are happy to help you find a perfect rental home, B & B or hotel nearby. We do offer a substantial discount if you arrange for alternative lodging.

A resume or letter of introduction that includes the dates you are interested in attending and your educational goals.

After you send your letter and we confirm the dates that you will be attending, you will be asked to send a 50% deposit along with your flight arrival information. Then you will be confirmed as a student.

PLEASE NOTE: Deposits are not refundable if you cancel less than two weeks prior to your starting date.
